SC SIMPLIFIES THE GUIDELINES FOR LIFTING A LAWYER’S SUSPENSION IN THE PRACTICE OF LAW
March 16, 2023
The Supreme Court has released a simplified guideline for lifting a lawyer’s suspension in the practice of law. These guidelines were aimed not to cause additional economic burden to suspend lawyers by dragging out the periods for their suspension. Hence, the submission of a sworn certificate of service of suspension is sufficient enough for the suspended lawyers to resume in the practice of law, and no further certificates are needed.
